Emily Mancil, B.S. is a fourth year doctoral student in the School Psychology program at the University of South Carolina. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Appalachian State University in May 2010. In June 2011, Emily joined the SMH Team. Her main involvement on the SMH Team is the CARS Project, where she served as a classroom facilitator and consultant in implementing school-based interventions for at-risk students from August 2011-August 2013. Her master's thesis examines the relationship of ADHD and academic impairment, and how student engagement moderates that relationship. She is also an instructor Survey of Developmental Psychology (PSYC 420). Emily's main interests include Assessment, School Mental Health, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Positive Psychology.
