Cassandra is a doctoral student in the Experimental/Quantitative Psychology program at the University of South Carolina. She graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Statistics. Cassandra’s research interests include item response theory (IRT), methodological issues, and judgment and decision-making –specifically focusing on how to measure and reduce bias during the decision-making process. Cassandra is currently working with Dr. Alberto Maydeu-Olivares developing new quantitative methods, and examining how to mitigate methodological issues. Cassandra was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and now lives in Cayce, SC with her partner, Savannah, and her cat, Seymour.
